Big Day Energy is the brainchild of AJ and Odin, perfectly seasoned Television Producer/Directors who have worked on the biggest shows on TV from The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors, to Gogglebox, to Scam Interceptors. A husband and wife team, putting their skills into creating amazing wedding films.
Our mission is to bottle your big day energy, capture it in cinematic, high fidelity, broadcast quality and get you to watch it again and again.

Meet the Team
AJ
AJ boasts a glittering career in TV spanning 15 years, both in London and Glasgow, shooting in all corners of the globe and working on audience favourites such as The Celebrity Traitors, Gogglebox (where her and the team won a BAFTA and The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Awards at the NTAs) , The Weakest Link, Celebs Go Dating, Don’t Tell the Bride and even helped lower the tone of general viewing consumption by doing her time on Geordie Shore and Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents! Safe to say, she’s seen it all.
Nowadays, as a mum, she’d like to think she’s turned her attentions to slightly classier endeavours, but still has that absolute passion for capturing priceless moments and telling peoples’ stories. Also, she reckons that filming all those nightclub scenes for reality shows prepared her well for wedding guests who’ve enjoyed a few sherbets and capturing your big party!
Odin
The other half of the husband/wife team that founded Big Day Energy, Odin spends many of his waking hours manning the camera for BBC One’s Scam Interceptors. Working his way up from Glasgow nightclub photographer to producing and directing some of your gran’s favourite daytime tv shows; his career has allowed him to truly hone his craft as a creative, calming and motivational director. Odin also is our certified drone operator, adding that little high brow extra to all of our films.
His true passion lies in creating beautiful images and telling wonderful stories. In 2024 he won a BAFTA for his work. An achievement second only to creating his beautiful family with AJ.
Wayne
Simply put, what Wayne can’t do, isn’t worth doing. Wayne brings with him years of experience with a background in directing and digital marketing for global brands. He also runs Tartan™Models - a leading model and casting agency in Edinburgh, and London for luxury and commercial brands.
Wayne and Odin have worked together on various projects so joining the Big Day Energy team felt natural. Oh, and AJ & Odin also trusted him to shoot their own wedding video - knowing they couldn’t be in safer hands.

The Extended Cut
Our lovingly edited 15-20min cinematic feature film, will capture all the best memories of the day for you to relive again and again. The film will include include all the best audio from your ceremony and speeches, interwoven with the best candid moments across your big day and party.
We include the whole day from prep in the morning, the ceremony, speeches and dancing the night away.
Plus a 3-5 min highlight film with all the best bits to show off, including audio from your ceremony and speeches.
An additional 30-60 second teaser film for your social media, to build up the hype.
Drone coverage (location and weather permitting - Qualified drone pilot with Public Liability Insurance).
Two shooters with BAFTA-winning storytelling abilities to tell your love story and capture the perfect day.
All shot on Broadcast quality cameras and audio equipment.
We’ll also include the ceremony and speeches as separate files so you can relive it all!
The Short Story
Capture all the best bits of your wedding day with a romantic and cinematic 4 -5 min highlights film.
Plus a 30-60 second teaser film for your social media.
This package focuses on high gloss imagery that puts you both in the limelight, featuring full wedding day coverage, from morning prep to party time.
We’ll curate the best line’s from the best man’s speech and the most emotive points in the ceremony and include them in the film.
Two shooters with BAFTA-winning storytelling abilities to tell your love story and capture the perfect day.
All shot on Broadcast quality cameras and audio equipment.
All set against the backdrop of your beautiful venue, and the best party ever.
The Teaser
This package includes full day content creation filmed in portrait mode for socials.
All filmed in portrait mode on an iPhone 16 Pro with a gimbal for social media.
1 x 60-90 second teaser reel delivered within 24 hours of the wedding, 2 additional reels delivered within one week.
This can be a standalone option, or it can be used as an add on for the other packages to tick all those video boxes.
The Extras
You want your wedding video shot on film? We’d love to. We offer add ons where you can choose between Super8 and Super16 film footage to be cut into your film for a mixed format effect. We own a selection of retro film cameras that we love to show off!
Want an additional camera operator for maximum coverage? Easy, see our ‘meet the team’ section.
Fireworks/late night coverage, anything is possible.
Additional filming days either side of your wedding is possible too- perhaps you’re having a destination wedding and want to capture the afterparty the next day - we’re happy to discuss.
